Body+Beauty Lab presents Lip Filler Boot Camp


ABOUT THIS EVENT

This educational course will provide an all inclusive learning experience for medical injectors, focusing on lip anatomy, injection technique, and adverse events. The experience will include both didactic and hands-on training, where learners will be guided by an advanced aesthetic injector and have the ability to ask questions. Attendees will have their knowledge tested through performance evaluation and a didactic post-test.

The course will be held in the medical spa facility, meeting all health and safety standards. Injectors attending will be required to have previous injecting training in order to attend this course. All attendees will need to show proof of medical malpractice insurance and supply their own pre-screened models for hands-on training.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Thomas Jefferson University is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians:

This educational activity is designated for a maximum of 5.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physicians Assistants:

Thomas Jefferson University has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. About Your Trainers:

 

Jacqueline Clarizio, PA-C

Jacqueline is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and then went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Thomas Jefferson University. Upon graduation, Jacqueline worked in Plastic Surgery, performing aesthetic procedures and assisting in the operating room. She is trained, experienced, and certified in performing injectables, lasers, microneedling, and medical-grade skincare. She prides herself providing patients with restoration rather than augmentation. She chose aesthetic medicine with the intent to make people feel better in their own skin.

 

Benjamin Lam, DO, FACOS, FACS

Dr. Benjamin Lam, D.O., F.A.C.O.S., F.A.C.S. received his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Lam enrolled in an anesthesiology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and later completed a general surgery residency and plastic & reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Double board certified in both General Surgery as well as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Lam is a fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons as well as the American College of Surgeons. As a recognized speaker on a national level, Dr. Lam is also the program director of the plastic & reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has held the position of president in the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons – Plastic Surgery section. For nearly ten years, he has developed expertise in body contouring as well as numerous additional cosmetic surgery procedures. Dr. Lam is highly respected for his accomplishments in breast reconstruction after mastectomy, breast enlargements, reductions and lifts. His techniques have been adopted by surgeons around the country. Dr. Lam has also developed technological advances in the medical surgical industry that have been registered with the United States Patent office.

Dr. Lam completed his Undergraduate School at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, followed by Medical School at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. Shortly after, he succeeded in his Rotating Internship at Delaware Valley Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and completed his Anesthesia Residency at the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He moved on to excel at his General Surgery Residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, followed by his Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in.
